Year High School Reunion has already happened last summer! The events took place on June 27-28, 2003. Recap of the Reunion events is below:
Friday Night Meet & Greet:
6:30 - whenever at Wild Wing Cafe (312 E. Washington St.) in downtown Athens. Everyone had a great time (some of us too good a time!) It was fun guessing who was who and seeing old friends.
Saturday Picnic: 10:00am - 2:00pm at Memorial Park, rain or shine at Picnic Shelter #2 (next
to playground). The rain stopped just in time! It cleared up at about 11:00am, and everyone came out to enjoy BBQ and marvel at all the wonderful kids we have produced!
CCHS Tour: 2:00pm-? at CCHS. This was a real trip down memory lane even though the school has changed almost beyond recognition. Many thanks to Dr. Maxine Easom, current CCHS Principal, for greeting us and showing us some of the new sections of our alma mater.
Saturday Reunion Event: 7:00pm - midnight at Foundry Park Inn & Spa Ballroom (295 E. Dougherty St.) in downtown Athens. The turnout was fantastic! We had more than 50 guests pay at the door, so the word must have gotten out. There was plenty of time to just talk, and we awarded traditional reunion awards after a few hours: Least Changed went to Mike Cooper; Most Changed went to Laurel Whitmire; Most Children went to Antonio Waller (with six kids!); Married Longest went to Delores Smith Jennings (17 years); Most Unusual Occupation went to Tammy Griffin Allen (she paints tractors); Anna Feimster Kwit came the furthest to attend (from California); and no one can remember who admitted to being married the most times! Please let us know if you remember.
